剛從海外巡演回來的首席小提琴家賀霆宇，市價將近五百萬台幣的琴不翼而飛，那是現代小提琴手製名師約一百多年前的得意之作，還為它取了名字叫作海鷗。

經紀人唐晉滄立刻做出危機處理，叫一旁的女孩(藍蝶菲)去找一把首席可用的琴來，情急之下，藍蝶菲抓了在展演門口鬼祟的陳海傑，就這樣陳海傑的琴，在賀霆宇的舞台上舞動著…，結束之後，賀霆宇邀陳海傑參加年度招考，準備力捧陳海傑……

一個帶著滄桑又充滿幹勁的中年女人金莉莎，除了開這了一間名為ALICE CAFÉ的咖啡廳之外，她最大的興趣是…幫助街上迷途的逃家孩子們，幫助他們回家、幫助他們找到方向。

一個年輕女孩飛鳥文（伊藤聖子）從機場出來，她眼神堅定，臉上幾乎沒有太多表情，她打了電話回日本，用簡潔的日文應答，我會盡快完成任務的。咖啡廳裡，聖子用日文輕緩的對著金莉莎說：「歐卡桑，我是你的女兒，伊藤聖子。」

一年前，陳海傑認識了飛鳥文，他們一見鍾情，在一起相處了五天。五天後，陳海傑就再也找不到飛鳥文，他想起她說過她住在日本的愛媛松山，他想，到那裏應該找得到她吧!?

在這個大城市裡，他們都懷著一顆名為夢想的種子，期待有一天能開花結果。

      it is rather different from other taiwan series i have watched. i am now at episode 11 and still don’t know how the series will end, it is UNPREDICTABLE and this is a Plus point.

    ..episode 10 ratings not so good.. :( but the show is really very nice sia!!

    there were no extra scenes that would show us how and why aaron fell in love with lara. one time he was obnoxious to her( he blamed her for the loss of his violin), then suddenly he was so friendly he had to put his hands around his shoulders( airport scene).
    the story is nice since there is some mystery involved however aaron and lara seem not compatible as a couple in this series.

      I was wondering as well….. I think Aaron starts to like Lara when she remain steadfast in her admiration for the other lead.  And he fell for her as he gets to know her better.   At the beginning, I thought that Lara likes Aaron or was it his music. I’m confused.

    this is an underrated series. it is wonderful yet not so many viewers on this site but nationwide in taiwan, i think it placed 3rd or 4th?
    actually, i like this better than queen of sop because i am more partial to music than to business. i would recommend one to watch the movies THE RED VIOLIN and AMADEUS, the latter movie is one of my favorite.

    the series is a little bit DARK ( full of anxiety/depression) and i noticed that there aren’t any light or funny scenes or have i overlooked them?

      When it’s 10PM in Taiwan, it’s 3PM in London aka daytime, so they air the olympics instead.
      As for other dramas, there are some that are still being aired, but there are TV channels dedicated to airing dramas 24/7, so those dramas are probably on one of those.
