主人翁趙家跟茶的因緣與傳承本該是件可以一代傳一代的家族美事，但在第四代傳人趙富祥的手上改變了！無心經營茶園事業的趙富祥，親手放了一把火，燒掉了自家祖傳的茶園，等待在熾猛的烈火中找到重生。

趙富祥的妻子唐美林一向溫和踏實、以夫為天，趙家先祖制茶的精神，趙富祥不理會，美林卻全學到了。這些年來，雖然茶園收成不好，但美林從未有過一句埋怨，因為她凡事都看好的一面，單純的可愛。

二十年前，某一天，天搖地動的山崩爆發了土石流，帶走了富祥，屍骨不存。從此，美林與兒子趙宇、女兒趙菲的人生裡，沒有了趙富祥這個人！

但其實，富祥根本沒死。他只是“怕死”了回家後要面對的責任與現實。因為他信誓旦旦要開創的人生事業，他來到溫泉鄉遇到一個年輕少女──胡彩春。她是一個命運乖舛卻充滿戰鬥力的女人，為了保護自己與母親脫離混黑道的繼父，她自私的拿走了富祥用茶園跟銀行抵押的二百萬元。這筆錢，讓她與母親順利離開繼父，卻再也離不開富祥……

二十年後，可以讓不懂事的孩子長成大人、讓懂事的孩子更加成熟，美林的一雙兒女趙宇、趙菲就是如此。父親趙富祥茶比賽從未得過的特等獎，趙宇卻是第一次比賽就奇跡似的獲獎，幾乎稱得上是天才制茶師了。是天賦也是興趣，趙宇對茶有一份與生俱來的熱忱。所以當胡馨兒為了學校報告闖進他的茶園時，他們很快便產生了交集。像老師教導學生、像哥哥照顧妹妹……這段感情就這樣自然而然的開始起來……

    i’m at ep 4 now… i was really drawn into this drama on the first 2 episodes… but since the characters portrayed by mainland actors appear, i’ve been forwarding the clips and only watching tender and ji ying’s scenes.  not to say i don’t like mainland actors/actresses, they just don’t belong to this drama, this plot. i still wanna watch and follow the story of the main leads… but other scenes can totally be omitted…

    i wish there are more scenes between xin er and zhao yu… and how did zhao yu fell in love with xin er? are the episodes cut short? 
    they dragged too much on zhao yu and ai chun’s love story… it was just rushed towards the end. 

    i like the background of the story, the plot, the sound track, the characters, but the story is just so predictable. towards 3rd episode, i already knew what to expect towards the end.

    even then, i still like zhao yu and xin er…
